Jon was appointed CEO of Y&R London in January 2016 and has since led the agency through successful pitches including Chanel, Premier League, Lombard Odier, Visit England and JD Williams, appointed a new management team and overseen the agency’s rebrand from RKCR/Y&R to Y&R London. 

Previously, Jon served as Chief Innovation Officer of Y&R London, Chief Digital Officer of M&C Saatchi Group and consulted for both WPP and internationally renowned digital educator Hyper Island. Jon began his career in digital marketing and was appointed Managing Director of in his mid-20s before co-founding two of the UK’s leading digital agencies of the 2000s, Itraffic and Play which was acquired by M&C Saatchi in 2009. Jon is a regular contributor to both trade and mainstream press on advertising, media and culture.

Jonathan Burley

Chief Creative Officer

Jonathan works across the full UK client base and is responsible for delivering the creative vision for the agency. His previous experience spans a diverse clients including Pot Noodle, Tango, The AA, The Sunday Times, Samsung, British Gas, Argos, The Prince’s Trust and TalkTalk.  

Throughout his career, Jonathan's work has been consistently awarded at every major international awards show. He was winner of one of the first Gold Creative Effectiveness Lions at Cannes for his McDonald’s campaign “Trust” and also created one of the Gunn Report’s most awarded ads "House of Cards" for Shelter. Most recently, he was responsible for leading the multi award-winning Lexus ‘Hoverboard’ campaign, which spans the worlds of content, PR, film and product design.

Mark founded the agency, which was acquired by Y&R in 2000, in 1993 and in April 2005 became our Chairman. He plays an integral role in some of our key accounts, such as BBC, Danone and Colgate. He is very much at the core of who we are today and works by his philosophy of ‘work hard and be nice’.

Mark is responsible for some of the UK’s standout creative over the agency’s history on clients spanning M&S, Virgin, Vodafone and the BBC, and is accountable for winning many creative and effectiveness awards across the D&AD's, Cannes, Promax, and Marketing Society.

Chief Strategy Officer

Emily is our Chief Strategy Officer and has been at Y&R London for over 10 years working on many of our most valued brands.  She has helped create award-winning campaigns for brands such as M&S, Virgin Atlantic, BBC and The Home Office. 

She is passionate about measuring the effectiveness of creativity and has written four winning IPA Effectiveness papers including two Golds and two Silvers.

After a successful six years consulting at a Director level for leading global and UK brands, Richard joined Y&R London last year to develop its Content Strategy offering.

Richard has Content running through his veins and has led some of the world’s most iconic magazine brands. His work in transforming Marie Clare from a magazine business into a market leading multi-platform digital, mobile and event brand is highly acclaimed within the industry. In addition his relaunching of Wallpaper* and launching of Ministry Of Sound magazine received recognition at the AOP, PPA and International Publishing awards.
