Key people

Nic Owen
Nic Owen
Managing Director/Partner

Nic conspires to nurture a brave and generous atmosphere at 72andSunny in Amsterdam and, with all the company, is hell bent on creating powerful work for great brands. He is most proud of the higher purposes 72andSunny has helped provide to a wide range of clients, including connecting tolerance with Benetton, inclusivity with Smirnoff and individuality with Lynx. He has a fatalistic love for Tottenham Hotspur Football Club and can be witnessed morbidly listening to Morrissey after another season of failure from April to August.

Carlo Cavallone
Carlo Cavallone
Executive Creative Director/Partner

Carlo is dedicated to growing 72andSunny’s diverse group of talented individuals, and focusing our creative efforts for our brand partners. Some of his favorite work features world leaders smooching for Benetton and unpacking history for Samsung. Hailing from Italy, Carlo has worked for multicultural companies in both the Netherlands and and the US. Life outside advertising revolves around his love for comics (he once was the Italian translator of Batman), bad movies, following conspiracy theories, and supporting underdog sports teams.

Stephanie Feeney
Stephanie Feeney
Executive Strategy Director/Partner

Stephanie ensures strategic rigor across all of the agency’s output, while also leading the charge in bringing the world’s most interesting, talented makers and doers to join the gang. She is passionate about brands’ responsibility to push and progress culture, and in her time at 72andSunny has developed progressive points of view for Lynx, Google, Samsung, Carlsberg and Smirnoff. Originally from Louisiana, Stephanie can cook a mean gumbo.

Stuart Harkness
Stuart Harkness
Executive Creative Director

Stuart guides our teams to a high level of craft and provocation across all our brand partners’ work. Responsible for some of the most iconic campaigns in the last decade, Stuart is passionate about growing the diverse array of talent at 72andSunny in Amsterdam, to continually make culturally-impactful work for brands like adidas and Smirnoff. Sometimes known as Stubacca, he is currently working on a horror film, as well as raising two babies and a sheepadoodle called Rosa.

Simon Summerscales
Simon Summerscales
Director of Communications Strategy

Simon is responsible for driving the ways we work closely and collaboratively with influencers and passion-point communities. He thrives on pushing media innovation and storytelling across channels, including campaign architecture, ecosystems, mapping attention and behavior. He is also obsessed by bicycles. For him, living in Amsterdam is like having a spare set of keys to the sweet shop.

Tracey Lee
Tracey Lee
Director of Strategy

Tracey is responsible for ensuring we are creating effective work that connects with people. As a native New Zealander, Tracey has worked with variety of major global brands, as well as tech start-ups, exporters and local government. She is passionate about working wherever there is hunger for innovative and insightful thinking to make a difference. Having called New York, Shanghai, Auckland and Amsterdam home, she is excited about brands’ ability to unite and move us forward in the world. She prefers to explore on foot rather than Dutch bicycle, but we will wear her down.

Stephanie Oakley
Stephanie Oakley

With a background in film, theatre and commercial production, Stephanie is passionate about the craft of storytelling. Having run and co-owned a production company for 10 years, and produced many global campaigns, Stephanie has extensive experience collaborating with film directors and creative partners while working with international brands. Stephanie now leads production at 72andSunny Amsterdam where she champions innovation, collaboration and playfulness in our creative production approaches and is most proud of the insightful, human stories we tell for Google, adidas, Lynx and Smirnoff. When not telling stories, you’ll find Stephanie paddle boarding on remote canals in the Netherlands.
