Robin Trust is Managing Director at MC&C Media, the independent media agency with a heritage in measurement and a relentless focus on delivering continuous, profitable growth for clients.

Robin joined MC&C as Business Director in 2014, rising to Deputy Managing Director before taking the helm in November 2017. Today, he oversees an 80-strong team working with clients including Which?, David Lloyd, TM Lewin, Unicef and Royal Mail. Under Robin’s leadership MC&C offers a 360° consultancy-based service that goes beyond media to help brands understand and realise their potential.

Robin has 20 years’ agency experience in all areas of media, most recently as Media Director at Proximity and OMD UK. Prior to this Robin held senior roles at Crayon Customer Insight, Independent Direct Marketing Ltd and Zenith Optimedia.

Robin has a passion for performance marketing and has extensive experience in driving growth across all channels, from broadcast to data and digital media. He also works closely with creative agencies to encourage a truly coordinated media approach.

Mike Colling is Founder & Chief Executive at independent media agency MC&C and Chief Executive of MC&C International, leading his team to create profitable, sustainable growth for clients. Mike has been in media for 30 years and is serial entrepreneur, having set up and helped run successful traditional advertising agencies, direct marketing agencies, media agencies and digital agencies. Mike was one of the pioneers of direct response media in the UK, and regularly speaks on this subject and on future media developments. He is chair of the Jicmail and a fellow of the IDM. Mike lives in the Chiltern Hills with his wife and an ever growing menagerie of animals.

Genevieve Tompkins is Managing Partner of independent media agency MC&C Media, where she oversees the strategic output and agency direction to deliver long-term business growth for clients.

With 14 years’ industry experience, Genevieve has a passion for charity sector clients and a broad background working with finance, travel and FMCG brands.

She is an experienced media practitioner who has proudly delivered substantial business outcomes - and awards - for some of the UK’s leading charities, with one campaign for St John Ambulance receiving recognition from Sheryl Sandberg and the senior Facebook team.

Genevieve has always worked at independent agencies and is a vocal advocate of the benefits an agency’s independence can bring to clients.

Prior to joining MC&C Media Genevieve spent more than 10 years at John Ayling & Associates, rising to Business Director, where she worked with the likes of Save the Children, St John Ambulance and RSPB.

Managing Director, MC&C International

Rob Watt is Managing Director of MC&C’s global arm, MC&C International, and is responsible for centralised strategy and growth for MC&C’s multi-market client base which includes major charities Unicef and  Water Aid, clothing brand TM Lewin and David Lloyd Leisure.

Rob has extensive experience across the media, advertising and technology world, most recently as Managing Director at celebrity shopping rewards site, TBSeen. Prior to this he held senior roles at digital agencies Razorfish and Pixelpark, as well as ad agency Ogilvy Primary Contact.

Rob is a prominent figure on the advertising scene, having spoken at events such as Ad Tech London, YourDigitalFuture and iStrategy. In addition to this he has participated in judging panels for the International Festival of Media Awards, Effective Mobile Marketing Awards and Vibrant Media Awards.

Jeremy Horne

Head of Analytics

Jeremy Horne is Head of Analytics at MUSE, MC&C Media’s data division, where he specialises in predictive modelling, customer analytics, machine learning, data visualisation and reporting automation.

Together with MUSE’s team of mathematicians and statisticians Jeremy works with a range of clients including David Lloyd Clubs, Family Building Society, Royal Mail, TM Lewin and UNICEF, developing highly effective plans that deliver a measurable business outcome: growth.

Jeremy holds a first-class degree in mathematics and statistics from Queen Mary, University of London. He spent the first nine years of his career in business consulting at Z/Yen in consultant, analyst and project management roles. Prior to joining MC&C, he spent three years at WPP’s MEC Global as Director of Evaluation.

Jeremy has more than 12 years’ experience as an R programmer, with additional skills in BI tools. He has worked across a broad range of client business sectors, including charity, financial services, hospitality and government.

Ben Foster

Director of Digital

Ben Foster is Director of Digital at MC&C Media where he leads all aspects of the management and growth of digital across both clients and the agency itself.

Formerly Digital Client Director at MC&C, Foster oversees client ownership, development and growth, financial management and operational control as well as business integration.

He is also responsible for overseeing key initiatives to support clients and agency growth targets, offering strategic guidance to help build on clients’ digital understanding, while championing ideas which drive innovation and best practice for clients

Foster joined MC&C Media in February 2015 as Director of Digital Operations, rising to Digital Client Director within two years.

Prior to this he spent three years at All Response Media, rising to Head of Digital Operations. Here, he grew the digital team from six to 16 in just two years, increasing digital turnover by 300% and launching an SEO proposition.

Prior to this he spent four years at LBi, latterly as Digital Account Director.

James Smith

Senior Account Director

James Smith is Senior Account Director at MC&C Media where he looks after clients including Which?, TM Lewin, Flight Centre, Marsh and Parsons and RAF Benevolent Fund.

He is responsible for ensuring each and every one of his clients achieves optimum business outcomes from their media campaigns, using data to ensure the successful long term growth of their business. His expertise across numerous business models enables him to confidently tackle any challenge across his range of clients whilst maintaining relationships that provide both the insight and access required as a business partner.

James has been with MC&C since he started his career, joining as a Media Assistant in 2011. His natural talent has seen him rise through the ranks of Media Planner/Buyer and Business Manager before becoming Account Director in 2015 and Senior Account Director in October 2017.

James holds a Masters in Management from Durham Business School and an Accounting & Finance degree from Durham University.
