The brief

Create a launch event for the Jacques Vert Autumn/Winter line-up of coats that generates press awareness, drives sales and supports charity partner Macmillan Cancer Support.

Our solution

Fashion brand Jacques Vert came to Blueprint looking for an original idea to support the launch of their latest coat range and in the process raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Our solution was to create two events in one day, combining a celebrity fashion show with a VIP drinks reception, plus a 3km walk around St James’ Park for good measure.

Coatwalk was a ground-breaking event. The fashion show experience was augmented with stunning visual effects on multiple screens, whilst backstage the Jacques Vert social media team was able to share short clips of proceedings which had been edited and produced on site by the Blueprint team in near real-time.

The day started with 250 Macmillan supporters taking on the 3km walk before returning to the opulent 1 Great George Street for the Jacques Vert fashion show. After a short turnaround, a new group of afternoon guests arrived to see the show and enjoy some post-performance drinks with the gathered celebrities and VIPs.

As well as showcasing their new range of coats, Jacques Vert also wanted to raise support, awareness and funds for charity partner Macmillan Cancer Support. Guests were able to purchase coats on the day from our custom built pop-up store, with £10 for each coat sold going to the charity, and the climax of the fashion show featured 12 special Macmillan nurses and patients on the catwalk, putting them at the heart of the event.
