Founder of Skullfades Foundation
Ged King is a selfless individual who by day cuts hair at Skullfades Barber Shop in Manchester and by night (and any other time) cuts the hair of the homeless. Over 1,200 haircuts to date and he’s now offering haircuts to refugees in Dunkirk.
“It’s so important to give back wherever and whenever you can. Everyone blames the government or blames the economy - there’s always blame - when actually we can all do something to improve our community. However big or small, we can all take the bull by the horns.”
Ged has now set up the Skullfades Foundation to help the most disadvantaged in our community. 2018 has been a massive year for the Skullfades Foundation seeing the team taking to the streets of Manchester to help give the city’s homeless the lift that they so desperately need. So much more than just a haircut, the team consists of a supported accommodation provider and an addiction recovery coach, all headed up by Ged. He’s passionate about giving back to others who are less fortunate and is using his trade to give a lift to those that need it most and make positive changes in their lives.
