Founded in 1968, Anchor Hanover is England’s largest not-for-profit provider of housing and care for the over-55s. To promote their luxury retirement village at Bishopstoke Park, they tasked us with creating and delivering an eye-catching out of home campaign that would inspire potential residents and encourage them to arrange a viewing.
After determining that the average Anchor resident would have purchased their first home in the 1950s-60s, we wanted to mirror the same joy and excitement they would have felt back then when looking for their first home.
To achieve this nostalgic feel, we created two custom watercolour illustrations: one design showed a loving couple beginning their life together and the other showed a strong, independent woman striding towards her future like a 1950s movie star. These were overlayed on top of vintage-style architectural drawings to represent Bishopstoke Park as a picturesque and resplendent village from another era.
These designs were rolled out across several out of home formats, including multiple roadside 6 sheets in the nearest town and a series of directional bus stop ads to help people quickly find the hidden away location.
