Insurance is an essential part of life, but people don’t trust insurance companies. 

They are unloved, confusing (perhaps deliberately so), ‘not on my side’ financial organisations, that given half a chance, will probably ‘walk my price up’ at renewal, if we’re not looking. 

No wonder that every year, according to YouGov, 73% of people plan to switch their insurance provider at renewal. 

Policy Expert was launched in 2011, as a new, tech-powered insurance company, with a more agile business model, and a better customer ethos. 

They had driven growth, primarily through performance marketing. But in 2019, they were losing at least 20% of prospect customers, at aggregator, due to lack of brand unfamiliarity. A lack of brand awareness and meaning held them back from breaking the mass market. 

We worked with Policy Expert to transform their brand: define a new customer-first positioning, redesign their brand identity (across all touch-points), recalibrate their propositions, and messaging hierarchy, and then bring this to life through an integrated comms campaign (TV, social, digital, performance). 

In 2022, Policy Expert signed up its 1 millionth customer, and moved into the Top 10 of home insurance providers. And on the back of a renewed growth curve, the company recently took on board new investment, and plans to extend into new insurance sectors.
