Edinburgh Gin x Phoebe Waller-Bridge

A year in the making, our exclusive collaboration between Edinburgh Gin and Phoebe Waller-Bridge saw a limited-edition Fleabag-inspired gin bottle, designed to support the festival where the show first discovered fame.

Back in 2021, we pitched an idea to Edinburgh Gin: what if we could create a special release that not only celebrated Edinburgh at its best, but made a positive difference at the same time? Collaborating with someone who made their name at the festival, we wanted to create a limited-edition that raised funds for emerging artists coming to Edinburgh Fringe.

Edinburgh Gin loved it so much that they made the incredible commitment to donate 100% of all profits made. And there was one person in particular we set our sights on to work with from the start. Thankfully Phoebe Waller-Bridge came on board right away and was everything you would hope her to be and more; funny, charming and so generous with her time and effort.

Specially screen-printed, the hand-drawn illustration features Phoebe looking into a deep blue Edinburgh night sky and is filled with hidden details that capture the wonder of her Fleabag experience – and the legendary role of Edinburgh in making it all happen. She first performed Fleabag at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2013, leading to rave reviews, her breakthrough moment and global recognition.

Amongst city streets, the spot-lit solitary chair she would use to perform on stage is painted on the glass, as well as the bittersweet exchange from Fleabag’s final scenes. “I Love You” is handwritten by Phoebe, whilst “It’ll Pass” has been penned by Andrew Scott, the celebrated actor who played the character of Hot Priest, Fleabag’s complicated love interest.

The bottles were filled with the distillery’s Classic London Dry gin, which is rooted in the wonder of Edinburgh – with botanicals chosen to capture the landscape, the history and the inimitable spirit that lives there. Including pinebuds, lavender, mulberries and citrus, the gin has an inimitable, award-winning taste.
