Challenge

Bring to life the sentiment of Virgin Media’s ATL ‘Faster Brings Us Closer’ and position the brand as the facilitator of timeless human connections, helping to drive recommendations and acquisitions.


Insight

At a time when pandemic restrictions prevented loved ones from being able to meet face to face - Wifi, tech, broadband, speed were all rational, functional messages.  To create impact, we needed to emotionally engage our audience and go beyond the product.

Solution

We created a visual spectacle for media using world-leading hologram technology to bring loved ones ‘closer together’.

Captured through an immersive 3D experience, we enabled diners in London and Edinburgh to enjoy a pizza together in life-size 3D and in 4k quality - without the need for screens – despite being 400 miles apart.


Results & Impact

We secured over 70 pieces of coverage including 19 national pieces, and over 1.2million cross platform views.

 Post campaign analysis showed that, of those that saw the campaign content, 48% said they’d recommend Virgin Media and 24% of non-customers said they’d switch.
