Changing the way Aussie’s think about Cocktails

Pernod Ricard Development of Cocktail Manager App

Pernod Ricard is the world’s 5th largest spirit business with an enviable portfolio of spirits including Absolute Vodka, Jameson, Chivas, Martell, Malibu and Beefeater Gin.

Together were commissioned to develop a digital tool kit for the Australian sales team to help ‘sell-in’ the Pernod Ricard wines and spirits portfolio to bar staff. We started by looking at how we could develop more spirit led occasions and steel share from beer. We developed 25 occasions based on ‘need state’ for example ‘Big Night Out’ or key event in the Australian calendar e.g. The Queens birthday. We then worked with a mixologist to develop a range of ‘themed cocktails’ for each of the need states or events - over 250 in total.

These were then uploaded to the ‘Cocktail Manager’ app where bar staff could search by occasion, event, spirit category or season of the year. The bar staff could then calculate profitability, create menus which would be print ready and emailed within 15 minutes and order themed POS.

There have been thousands of downloads from the Australian App store and the Cocktail Manager App was awarded the best innovation from Alex Ricard the global CEO of Pernod Ricard.
