On 26th January, we launched our Digital 2023 report. The report is the ultimate guide to the evolving digital world. Since its launch 11 years ago, it has generated tens of millions of views and has become an invaluable tool for marketers all over the world.
As always, the report is packed full of insightful data, so we'll be hosting an internal global webinar to take you through some of the biggest headlines in the 2023 report, and how these shifts are likely to impact the work we do. We're seeing some really interesting stats, such as:
- Average daily time online has fallen by 20 minutes over the past twelve months to 6 hours 37 minutes, a reduction of almost 5%
- 16- to 34-year-olds are now more likely to visit a social network when looking for information about brands than they are to use a search engine
- Investment in social media ads has more than doubled since the outbreak of COVID-19 to $226 billion in 2022
- Internet users who own at least one form of digital currency fell by 3% between July and October
- There are 5.16 billion internet users in the world today, and 4.76 billion social media users.
