Rod is Regional Director of Text100 in EMEA and sits on the firm’s global executive leadership team. He specialises in reputation management, integrated marketing communications, issues & crisis management and stakeholder & influencer engagement. Rod has advised major corporations and brands ranging from Nissan, IBM, Malaysia Airlines, Dell, Accenture and DHL to IATA, Toyota, Western Union, McKinsey, P&G and Takeda. He has held board-level positions at three international top-10 communications consultancy networks, rising to partner and Global Corporate Practice Director at a global top-3 firm. He is a Founding Fellow and former board member of the UK’s Public Relations and Communications Association.

Tara  O'Donnell

Tara O‘Donnell has 23 years of marketing and communications experience. She joined Text100 in 2006 and was appointed UK Managing Director in 2014.  In addition to managing the business, Tara is the global client lead for Vodafone and TomTom.  Prior to joining Text100 UK, Tara launched and led Text100‘s North American consumer practice for 8 years which included crafting strategies and providing counsel for clients such as MTV, Shazam, British Airways, Vimeo, KAYAK.com and many others. Before joining Text 100, Tara held in-house roles for 12 years including five years at Samsung Electronics as part of the North American Strategic Marketing group, leading Corporate Communications.  She played a pivotal role in shaping Samsung‘s brand identity as a digital technology leader in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Tara was also a marketing director at ABT Corporation in the UK and US for 7 years, a global software provider that was acquired by CA Technologies.

Tom is one of our most experienced creatives. He has built up a reputation for combining an ability to develop inspired creative concepts with razor sharp project management skills. He’s led fully integrated campaigns for a wide range of clients, including Microsoft, Skype, Nokia and NCR. Tom also heads up our film team – prior to working at Text100 he was a broadcast television producer, creating shows for BBC, ITV and Channel 4.

A former award-winning international magazine editor and journalist, Luke’s 18+ years’ storytelling experience helps global brands such as Red Bull, Tata Communications and Vodafone to attract, engage and sustain audiences. He leads his highly creative content and social team to produce work such as owned editorial for blogs and thought leadership, or social programs that inspire lead generation and brand sentiment.

Matt Coombes

Matt leads the strategy team which specialises in brand identity, narrative and messaging. He has over 12 years strategic consultancy experience designing and executing global brand and marketing programs for internal and external audiences.  He comes from a creative background, studying English at Magdalen College, Oxford where he was also a choral scholar before pursuing a career in acting for 10 years.  He’s worked across the Technology, Telecommunications, Consumer and Financial Services sectors having led major campaigns for HP, Nokia, NCR, Microsoft, Skype and most recently SunTrust Bank - where he's devising programs to support their movement for financial change, onUp.

Toby Conlon

Toby's background is in corporate & B2B communications, reputation management and sustainability communications and for the last 13 years has worked with some  of the world's biggest companies and brands.  He spent three years advising Starbucks on its UK media strategy and helping it navigate issues like corporation tax and ethical sourcing. He advised Unilever on the launch of the first-year update to its Sustainable Living Plan, and put in place a strategy for the World Business Council for Sustainable Development to change up its narrative. Toby also led the team delivering an international sustainability communications programme for Anglo American. He also worked with Shell on its UK communications planning and programming and was responsible for the team advising Shell on its global brand partnerships programme.

Gary Berman has over 17 years of award-winning consumer brand experience, specialising in media / influencer relations, global experiential marketing and integrated communications, with a passion for creativity, technology and the cutting-edge. In addition to heading up the PR team at Text100, Gary is client lead for Vodafone Global Enterprise, Vodafone Group and Native Instruments. Prior to joining Text100, Gary had a series of high profile roles, on behalf of leading consumer and technology clients. As Associate Director at Speed Communications, he managed the consumer division for brands such as Heinz, Virgin and Monster Audio. Gary worked in-house at Microsoft, and was instrumental in creating and implementing Xbox’s UK PR strategy, including the launch campaign for their next-generation console (Xbox One). 

Jennifer Christie

Business Development Director

Jen has 10 years’ experience in marketing, communications and business development and currently oversees regional business development at Text100.  Jen works with prospective clients to understand their business objectives and create meaningful and impactful marketing and communications programmes to meet these objectives. In addition, she owns the regional marketing and communications programme, building awareness for the Text100 brand. She joined Text100 from WE Communications where she was the marketing lead for the EMEA region. Prior to agency world, Jen started in corporate communications at defence and security organisation Thales, based in Paris before moving into various roles in product management, strategic marketing and business development, as well as a secondment at government agency, UKTI, supporting UK defence and security exports. In 2018, Jen was recognised as one of the Top PR Professionals Under 30 by PR Week.
