As Universal Music Group (UMG)’s Global Head of Brand Partnerships, Toulouse-born Olivier Robert-Murphy’s desire to seek out inventive and collaborative business concepts never wavers. Leading an award-winning team of global music, content and partnership experts, recognised as THE creative company for music and brands, UMGB projects include collaborations between Make Up For Ever and Jessie J; MasterCard and Ellie Goulding, several international partnerships with Coca-Cola, exclusive media and retail activations with HP and the first legal music streaming service in Cambodia with Smart Axiata. 

A popular thought-leader, Olivier regularly takes the stage at high-profile media events around the world, as well as heading up the jury as this year’s President of the Cannes Lions Entertainment for Music.

Dave is our commercial insight & strategy expert. Before arriving at UMGB he spent the best part of a decade working in TV and Film at the Walt Disney Company. This gave him the opportunity to work across everything from Pixar, Marvel and Lucas Studios to ABC and ESPN. He’s worked on a diverse range of brand partners from Lego to Audi, or Microsoft to M&Ms, and is constantly fascinated by the ins and outs of different categories and the role entertainment can play.

Blake is our Head of Talent Strategy, helping match the right brief with the right talent. Having worked his whole career in music – from his earliest days in music journalism, through to helping launch the careers of Ellie Goulding, James Blake, Ed Sheeran and more in his native Australia, he’s the king of knowing “what’s hot” and “what’s next”.

David is an international creative with over 15 years of experience crafting branded campaigns, digital initiatives and on-air production for leading broadcasters, creative agencies and global brands. His proactive journey has taken him from Europe to Asia and more recently the US, using a wealth of experience to champion collaboration, bravery, and a hunger for success in every brief: all characteristics shown in the campaigns he has created for Samsung Mobile, New Balance, Subaru and various Tourism Boards.

James has over 13 years’ experience working within creative agencies; strategically planning and managing account teams to deliver campaigns across the full channel mix. He has extensive experience in building trusted partnerships with companies such as Fiat, Mondelez, Shell, Mars and Sony Mobile.

Digital Tech Solutions Director

Damien is a trained aerospace engineer, but has spent eight years in the IT industry delivering digital music services for brands such as Sony, BlackBerry and HP. He’s led both platform and front-end development teams, understanding how to move locally run platforms to the cloud and implementing web, iOS or Android clients. He’s our person to speak to for implementing any kind of music or social platform into a branded digital space.
