W Hotels: Wake Up Call Festival

The Challenge

160over90 was challenged with developing a new kind of festival for the W Hotels’ Wake Up Call platform—one that would take the pain out of attending a festival and give SPG and Marriott Rewards members insider access and an unforgettable luxury experiences in the world’s hottest travel destinations. 

The Solution

In 2018/19 we helped W Hotels bring Wake Up Call, the first ever global hotel music festival, to life in 4 international markets: Hollywood, Barcelona, Dubai and Bali. Each festival was a complete hotel-takeover, where members and VIPs could check-in and then check out performances throughout the property – from WET deck parties to DJ masterclasses and live performances by some of the hottest acts in music today including Phantogram, Charli XCX, Martin Solveig, Black Coffee, Tove Lo and Rita Ora. To further drive FOMO, a robust Influencer and celebrity plan drove social content and each festival was live streamed on Marriott Rewards social channels.

The Results

Over 13,000 guests attended Wake Up Call Festivals,

19,000 social posts generated with a potential reach of 3 billion OTS.

15.1 million people viewed the live stream for a total view time of 57,522 hours (over 6 years of viewing time).
