Rubicon, the exotic fruit juice brand owned by AG Barr, has appointed BMB to its £3 million UK advertising business.

Creativebrief handled the review, which began in August last year. BMB beat St Luke’s and McCann Manchester to land the account. The incumbent was The Minimart.

AG Barr wants to double the size of the Rubicon brand and has signed a three-year deal with BMB. As the lead agency, BMB will oversee all strategic development and above-the-line creative work.

David Bain, a partner at BMB, said: "Rubicon is a sleeping giant, loved deeply but too narrowly. We couldn’t be happier that Rubicon has chosen BMB to help the brand become as big, bold and popular as it deserves to be."

Rubicon’s media agency, PHD Manchester, is unaffected by the appointment.
