Chambord narrows search for UK consumer PR agency

Creativebrief

US wine and spirits company Brown-Forman has shortlisted agencies to compete for consumer work for its raspberry liqueur brand Chambord, which is understood to be worth £120,000 annually.

It is understood that Brown-Forman's UK business has been talking to eight agencies with experience in the alcohol industry and luxury brand space and has now made a shortlist. It is also understood that Creativebrief is helping to run the process.

Earlier this year Chambord, a raspberry liqueur, launched a new global positioning through advertising agency Wieden & Kennedy London, centred around the 'Because No Reason' campaign, which aims to reconnect the general public with the drink.

The PR brief is for a campaign that raises awareness of the brand among young women, with a focus primarily in bars and some overlap into supermarkets and off-licences.

In a separate process Brown-Forman is looking for a social and digital media agency to work on Chambord.

Brown-Forman's UK business declined to comment.
