We’re Guinness World Record breakers!

During Mental Health Awareness Week at Creativebrief we participated in the Guinness World Record attempt at the biggest online mental health lesson ever.

The event was hosted by Michelle Morgan, author or Own Your Awkward, and Richard McHardy, Founder of the McHardy Collective, at 11am on 9th May to mark the start of the week.

The lesson was delivered by Dr Rumina Taylor and helped us to understand why it feels awkward to talk about mental health, the signs of poor mental health, and how to offer someone help or ask for help when we are struggling. Whilst the recording was being adjudicated there was five minutes of funny with Jarred Christmas to help us feel a little lighter.

To break the record, the event needed to have 2,000 attendees and unfortunately the numbers weren’t quite high enough. However, there was a second record to be broken for the most replays within 24 hours. Hundreds of people tuned in and the World Record was officially broken. We are proud to have been part of it!

At Creativebrief we believe that looking after your mental health is extremely important, internally we make sure that we look after ourselves with various initiatives and open conversations.

In the industry, we are advocating for change in the modern pitch process which is currently often very detrimental to people’s mental health, with weekends and evenings often expected to be sacrificed during the pitch process. Our editorial platform, BITE, also opens up the conversation to the industry not just during Mental Health Week but all year round. You can discover the content here.
