Newcastle Brown Ale plans revamp
Scottish Courage is preparing to change the packaging of its iconic Newcastle Brown Ale brand following its appointment of design agency Pearlfisher.
The agency won the business in a pitch through creativebrief against two un-named agencies.
The decision comes as Newcastle Brown Ale prepares to open its first retail presence, in the departure lounge of Newcastle airport.
Themed in-store displays and packaging, designed by Tayburn, will feature the brand's blue star logo.
The store, which opens next week, will sell branded clothing and gift-packs containing Newcastle Brown Ale and items such as bottle-openers and 'Wellington' glasses, from which the ale was traditionally enjoyed.
