Sportingbet task goes to bd-ntwk

Online gaming company Sportingbet has appointed bd-ntwk to its online promotional and CRM activity.

The agency picked up the account following a review handled by creativebrief, in which it saw off two undisclosed agencies.

Bd-ntwk has been briefed to encourage consumers to open a Sportingbet account and boost repeat business from the site's existing customer base.

Last year, Sportingbet hired Nitro to handle its £2m pan-European ad account. The agency was asked to create a campaign to increase awareness of the site.

The firm, which offers online betting and a casino, recently saw a 15% rise in its share price after announcing that it was in talks about a possible takeover of Austrian betting site BWin Interactive.

Sportingbet Group's online gaming and gambling portfolio includes Paradisepoker.com and sportingodds.com.
