Argos enlists a parkour delivery service for the new Samsung phone

To celebrate the release of the new Samsung Galaxy S20 5G, Argos gave customers the chance to have their new handsets delivered by parkour runners.

New research from Argos has revealed that 43% of people in the UK struggle to organise their deliveries around their schedules. The research also revealed where Brits, besides their workplaces and homes, would rather have their items delivered to with the gym, train stations and, for millennials, the pub, coming top.

To celebrate the release of the new Samsung Galaxy S20 5G, Argos gave customers the chance to have their new handsets delivered by parkour runners. The stunt is designed to highlight the lightening fast nature of the new phone, replicated by the speed at which the runners navigate the London streets, bridges and even beaches.

Competition winners would have the handset delivered to them ahead of public release as fast as possible, wherever they are in London. Parkour uses running, jumping and climbing to get between two places in the fastest way possible, whether that’s scaling a wall or leaping between buildings.

Ian Eygelsheim, Mobile Buyer at Argos said, “We know our customers want to get their hands on the latest tech as quickly as they can but busy schedules often get in the way of this. So we wanted to test out the fastest, most flexible and most innovative delivery service yet for the exciting launch of the Samsung Galaxy S20 5G.”
