Sport brings out the rivalry in all of us. Whether you’re the most dedicated fan or a casual supporter, nowhere is this more clear than within the UK’s Premier League.
The latest campaign from M&C Saatchi for Coca-Cola and the Premier League sees the launch of this new partnership celebrating one of the nation’s best loved sports and its community of fans. ‘Where Everyone Plays’ is a colourful homage to the teams we choose to throw our weight behind.
From a London taxi to a family’s front room, the pool hall and the back of a bus, football fans are devout in their allegiance. The ad stars 250 real fans and champions all 20 clubs in the division.
With a pop soundtrack of Yazoo’s Only You and a couple of guest appearances from famous faces, the ad is an authentic tribute to the clubs that shape many a young fan’s identity. Many will remember their first match ever, while some might remember that one on a cold Saturday in January as the best of their life. This campaign wants us all to remember that the Premier League is for everyone, no matter who you are, where you’re from and of course, who you support.
