TH: Tom, what does the Newcastle brand stand for?

TH: Pride, friendliness and resilience

TH: How do you think Newcastle should position itself?

TH: Innovative and Creative

TH: Are the city’s brand values reflected in your own agency culture?

TH: Absolutely – 100%

TH: Does being based in NE influence your creative output? If so, how?

TH: Certainly – we are surrounded by inspirational places; none more so than our new office location at Toffee Factory in Ouseburn

TH: What makes your agency offer different?

TH: Our ideas are always rooted in definite business objectivity, not merely creativity for its own sake

And our routes to market are not restricted by ‘traditional’ thinking

TH: Why should clients consider sourcing work from Newcastle agencies?

TH: In addition to the values above, the lower cost best (whether real or perceived) is a real benefit

TH: What sort of clients do you particularly want to attract?

TH: Ambitious ‘challenger’ brands that recognise and value the power of creativity

TH: What work have you done recently makes you really proud?

TH: Our current work for Metrocentre highlighting the constant improvements made throughout its existence, and with the promise of more to come has attracted huge admiration and positive comment – METROMORPHOSIS

TH: What local brands do you most admire and why?

TH: Fenwicks – simple, honest and believable

TH: Are there any local marketers who have inspired you?

TH: My business partner Duncan – the best I’ve ever met

TH: What business would you most like to win?

TH: Sage (Software)

TH: Thanks Tom.
