We recently found that agencies ranked ‘respect’ in the top three conditions integral to a creative partnership with their clients. Whilst only a handful of brands did the same.
We believe this to be indicative of a wider problem that originates from disrespectful pitch processes, because if there’s no respect in the pitch process, how can we expect there to be in the relationship?
Whether we’re focusing on the process, the quality of relationships, people’s time, their personal circumstances, huge factors such as diversity and inclusion, we’ll be hosting an honest conversation about respect and the pitch.
It’s a difficult question to ask, but the reality is that inaction is costly. Respect is being slowly eroded away and we need to ensure modern, healthy relationships get off on the right foot with a process that represents real-life working relationships and prioritises not only business, but people.
For a bit more background on the topic, read our previous survey where we spoke to both brands and agencies across multiple sectors and disciplines to really understand the pros and cons of the current pitch process.
Speakers include Sophie More from BrewDog, Annie Gallimore from Engine, Reuben Arnold from Starbucks, Paul McEntee founder of Mc&T and Cristina Loaiza from graze.
