Gerety Awards which has been redefining advertising and communications by setting a new benchmark in creative awards with its all-female power jury, offers a fresh, diverse way of celebrating outstanding work in communications and marketing. With the Gerety Awards entry deadline now extended until April 30 and a new category for humour is announced.
The Gerety shortlist will be announced the first weeks of June along with jury panels from around the world discussing their favorite pieces. The Gerety Awards shortlist and panel discussions will be the predictor for all other award shows in 2021, and an important benchmark for the industry for the best in advertising from the female vision.
Creativebrief will partner with the Gerety awards to host the UK jury panel. In making the announcement Editorial Director Nicola Kemp said: “This year, more than ever we are all painfully aware of the need to shift the narrative and eliminate harmful and toxic stereotypes in advertising and challenge the status quo.”
“We are proud to partner with The Gerety Awards; because by judging creative work through the female lens they show us that it is possible to raise the bar. At a time when we know that women’s creative careers have been disproportionately impacted by the Coronavirus crisis, we know the importance not just of celebrating brilliantly impactful creative work but of elevating female voices from across the industry."
Agencies based in the UK are also entitled to enter the UK Agency of the year category through the Portfolio Cut. A reel that includes 3 different types of work has to be submitted into this category to win the prestigious title of UK agency of the year. The global shortlist and agency of the year by country titles will be announced the second week of June followed by live jury panel discussions that will once again give unique insight from advertising industry leaders as well as being a predictor for awards taking place later this year.
