The Challenge

A study conducted by YouGov revealed that 74% of Brits are still buying plastic bottled water. 23% have no plans to reduce how much single-use plastic they buy, and 18% haven’t tried the more eco and purse-friendly alternative, filtered tap water.

So, we teamed up with BRITA to encourage Brits to take action against single-use plastic and showcase why BRITA’s water filter is the best option.

Our Approach

To amplify BRITA’s message across the nation, we kicked off a PR and Social campaign that drove people to make a change for the better with one very simple solution – ‘Just Tap. Filtered.’

We created a series of seven short films, starring TV personalities and sustainability advocates Joanna Lumley and Gethin Jones, to bring a comedic, tongue-in-cheek approach to raise awareness of the serious issue, which ran across BRITA’s social channels.

We also orchestrated a PR push for Joanna Lumley, who went on a mission to share the message, appearing on Sky News Sunrise, interviewing with Hello! and The Sun UK, and speaking at a roundtable with Hearst Media.

The campaign also gained news coverage in The Mail, The Mirror and The Evening Standard, and included news-led editorial, photography and video.
