The ‘Pride of London’ banner uses powerful and silhouetted figures to represent the players at Chelsea F.C Women and was created as part of the impactful  ‘Chelsea Creates’ project between Chelsea Football Club and COPA 90.

The partnership has successfully showcased a range of young creative talent across the capital, across the fields of music, art and design. The partnership underlines the power of a brand like Chelsea to elevate the next generation of creative talent; by using their brand as a platform alongside COPA 90 to commission inspiring new work from a diverse range of creatives.

The artwork, which was on display at the Kingsmeadow Stadium as Chelsea FC women faced Reading FC earlier this month, celebrates the team’s performance as well as showcasing Kelly Anna’s unique talent. A special ‘Creator Journey’ was released on COPA90’s Instagram channel, providing behind-the-scenes access and insight into the collaboration.

Kelly Anna, explained: “From the beginning this was a special project which really captured my imagination. I take huge inspiration from the amazing women at Chelsea F.C. Women and loved bringing together my vision of them as incredible warrior women on the pitch.” She continued: “I hope fans around the world will take inspiration from these incredible players who continue to blaze a trail for female empowerment.”

Adam Field, Head of Global Fan Engagement at Chelsea Football Club, added:  "Chelsea Creates’ is our chance to celebrate the most exciting new creative talent in London, and this bespoke banner design by Kelly Anna champions our women's team and the strides the women's game has made in recent years.” Field added that the project is showcasing  amazing artists, designers and musicians, who, he explained “represent some of the very best the city has to offer”

Previous collaborators in the ‘Chelsea Creates' series include spoken word artist and poet James Massiah, singer Sasha Keable and illustrator Alva Skog.
