Editorial Director CreativebriefThe Middle East’s leading gym chain, GymNation, has claimed a world first with the launch of an in-gym hotel.
The launch is designed to help members go straight from work out mode to flat out mode in the hotel. It is targeting gym-goers with the message: why hit the road when you can hit the bed instead? The team believe that the concept is perfect for those who hate the post-workout commute.
Available to book directly with the gym, according to GymNation, it isn’t your average hotel. Instead, it is being dubbed ‘a premium recovery station built for gym bunnies who are ready to spring into action.’
Design features are set to include dumbbell-shaped towels for that extra fitness flair and a ‘Press for Protein’ button to deliver a fresh protein shake straight to your bed.
We’ve taken the hassle out of that early morning or late night commute so you can train like a beast and rest like royalty, all under one roof.
Rory McEntee, Chief Marketing Officer, GymNation
Loren Holland, Founder and CEO at GymNation, explained: "Every hotel has a gym, but there aren’t any gyms with hotels, until now! At GymNation, we’ve always been about disrupting the fitness world and making health and wellness accessible to everyone. Our brand new in-gym hotel takes it to the next level, no more cutting workouts short or heading home to recover. Power up, recharge, and hit the next set—all from the comfort of the gym floor.”
Rory McEntee, Chief Marketing Officer at GymNation added: “The idea came from the notion that people dislike their gym commute, particularly on leg day! So we’ve taken the hassle out of that early morning or late night commute so you can train like a beast and rest like royalty, all under one roof.”
The launch comes as fitness travel continues to boom. Research from Neilson Beach Clubs revealed that 76% of British travellers stay active on holiday. Of those, 56% say maintaining their health while away is important and 37% aim to stick to their regular gym routine.
Middle East tourism is also surging. According to data from the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, Dubai welcomed a record-breaking 28.72 million visitors in 2024, marking 9% year-on-year growth and boasting a 78% hotel occupancy rate. Meanwhile, European visits to Saudi Arabia have jumped 24% year on year.
With April Fools Day around the corner, GymNation fans are being invited to register their interest in the gym hotel here.
