To celebrate the festive season, IKEA is offering customers the chance to book out one of its display rooms and enjoy a free two-course Christmas dinner.

To offer customers a hassle-free Christmas meal, IKEA has created a bespoke Christmas experience that gives those that book a free, fully prepared Christmas dinner. The package includes a room with festive decor along with a classic Christmas meal of either turkey, IKEA meatballs or veggie alternative.

With research from IKEA and censuswide showing finding that on average, UK hosts spent 36 hours away from friends and family during the festive period last year, the unique experience aims to give families some well-deserved time together.

“Christmastime is all about coming together with loved ones and spending quality time together. However, lots of people don’t have a big enough space to host and those who do can be left missing out on a lot of the festivities. We’re hopeful that by opening up our roomsets for some festive fun gives families the chance to sit back and relax whilst we take care of the rest.” says Jing Li, Store Manager, IKEA Greenwich.

The menu allows customers to choose from classic turkey with sage and onion stuffing, a plant-based offering of festive butternut squash, lentil and almond wellington or they can fully embrace the IKEA experience and order meatballs. All dishes are served with crispy roast potatoes, parsnips, peas, red cabbage and gravy. Choose from the chocolate clementine bomb, vegan caramelised cheesecake or strawberry flavour jelly for a sweet treat.

The experience will take place on Thursday 7th and Friday 8th December, and both the Greenwich and Edinburgh IKEA stores where customers can book in for up to two hours of festive fun.

The unique experience brings together IKEAs signature showroom and food to give customers a fun festive moment of togetherness.
