The 2023 Gerety Awards is open for entries with a reminder that diversity is about more than just words.

The awards, which are now in their fifth year, judge all advertising, not just advertising made for women, through the female lens.

In 2023 the need to spotlight and champion the female lens is more important than ever as the pace urgently needs to accelerate to push the dial forward toward greater visibility for half the world’s population.

Named after Frances Gerety, the copywriter who coined the slogan "A diamond is forever”, the Gerety Awards has been instrumental in creating new benchmarks and redefining the standard to which advertising has traditionally been held.

This year, Amy Kean, CEO of Good Shout joins Gerety as Ambassador and Jury President, she explains: “Diversity is more than words, and the most inclusive initiatives have it in their DNA. For too long the spotlight has been focused on one demographic, and The Gerety Awards are making sure that changes.”

When it comes to brilliant women, there is no one-size-fits-all

Amy Kean, CEO, Good Shout, Gerety Awards Ambassador and Jury President

The 5th season of the awards will span across London, Chicago, Dubai, Mumbai, Berlin, Bucharest, AUNZ, Madrid, Bogota, and Stockholm. Jurys across each of the locations will define the winning shortlist and also select an agency and production company of the year from their country. This is chosen from the entrants of the Portfolio Cut.

This year new for 2023 entrants will be able to submit entries for Strategy as well as Emerging Commerce into any of the Gerety cuts for Communication, Media, Innovation, B2B, Health, Pharma, Works for Good, Entertainment, Experience and Humour. Emerging commerce will show new channels that organically use the Metaverse, NFTs, Blockchain, AI, AR and other advanced technologies that support brand development. Entries celebrating strategy will show creative examples of the customer journey and strategic planning that redefined a brand or product.

“I'm in awe of their [The Gerety Awards] rapid growth and stature, and the work they do to celebrate creative women all over the world. These awards provide a benchmark for fairer representation, within a space that's notoriously slow to adapt to the modern world. Being a jury ambassador will be one of the highlights of my year. I can't wait to judge a slew of great campaigns, and proudly reinforce the fact that when it comes to brilliant women, there is no one-size-fits-all." adds Kean.
