Health & WellbeingOver the course of this year, it has arguably been pretty difficult to maintain a steady focus on anything. Whether it’s attempting to work and homeschool, check on your baking sourdough, while juggling a client call, or simply drifting into a mindless social media scroll.
This is where Headspace comes in, the app that offers mindfulness and meditation exercises. The app recently appointed John Legend as its Chief Music Officer and to kick off the partnership, it has launched a new Focus Mode, designed to help users tune in to what matters most to them.
To promote the new appointment and features, Eulogy secured radio interviews with Legend across Heart and Smooth radio stations to engage fans through an appropriate medium. Legend’s role with the business is to harness the power of music to enhance the mindfulness exercises offered on the app.
Four weeks of Headspace use has been shown to increase focus and reduce mind-wandering by 14%. Additionally, in another study, just one 15-minute session of Headspace resulted in 22% reduction in mind wandering.
"Increased stress and anxiety in our day-to-day lives have impaired our ability to focus. It's challenging to concentrate on work, family, or even a simple task at hand when our reality is in such a period of flux and uncertainty,” said Sam Rogoway, Chief Content and Product Officer at Headspace.
The new Focus mode and partnership with Legend launches at a time of global crisis, when the relentless newscycle feels impossible to escape. Programmes like this allow people to concentrate on what matters most, to tune out the everyday stress and simply take a moment to breathe.
