Annual Top 30s Ranking 2015

The creativebrief Top 30s are now recognised industry-wide as a valuable league table for both our client and agency community. One of the few based on merit and judged on the popularity of an agency and their work (number of views) rather than size, scale and an arbitrary turn-over figure.

This year, as a development to our Annual Top 30s for 2015, we’ve broken down the rankings to reveal individual disciplines whilst also retaining the full Top 30s (from all disciplines) that we present to the market each year at this time.

As ever there was long and hard debate about categorisation and there’s never a perfect solution in a marketing landscape that is now so fluid. Clearly more agencies cover more disciplines than ever, and there is often a notable gap between their heritage, their current direction and their future ambitions.

As a methodology though, whilst many agencies are listed as spanning various disciplines our annual rankings are organised based on agencies’ own categorisation of the work they have posted on their creativebrief showcase. Within this the league table is then ranked solely on the number of views this agency and their work have generated through the course of 2015 (Jan to Dec).

To provide some context for the stats and figures, it’s exciting to note that the total number of views that would have seen an agency rank 5th last year would not be enough to gain them a place in the Top 30s this year. To illustrate this further: 37,836 was the winning total for the 2014 Annual Top 30s, but 2015 has seen that total surge to 98,092 for the top ranked agency.

This growth is testament to our rapidly growing audience of brilliant brands, but also to the fact that agencies are now smarter than ever in their use of the platform to gain greater ongoing exposure for them and their work.
