With WorldPride 2026 set to take place in Amsterdam, the event has launched a new global campaign that acts as a modern tribute to the Dutch Masters, the celebrated painters, sculptors and architects of the Dutch Golden Age.

The campaign, which was created by Geminaes, marks the official kick-off of WorldPride 2026. It is a celebration of queer unity and a modern tribute to the intimate, powerful and unapologetically queer ‘New Dutch Masters’.

At the heart of the campaign is a film driven by Emma Parkinson’s creative direction, which takes a look inside the individuals who make up WorldPride. The spot starts in black and white, in a more intimate view of people at home, before slowly transforming into a celebration in full technicolour. A creative technique which successfully shows people in their most expressive, unfiltered Pride looks.

The dynamic video is a celebration of people, individuality and love. The film moves from still shots to movement mirrors to show that visibility is not static. The spot ends with a powerful group portrait, a modern remix of the Dutch Masters. The group stands boldly, together, proud, and themselves. The cast is made up of official Pride Amsterdam Ambassadors, as well as a broader collective of queer voices.

The queer-led charity campaign was a passion project for everyone involved. Over 70% of the people involved in the making of the campaign identify as LGBTQIA+. While the remaining 30% is made up of active and intentional allies. The entire creative process, from beginning to end, on and off screen, was shaped by people with lived experience, ensuring the most authentic vision.

This is a love letter to queer presence, to visibility, and to what it means to be truly seen.

Mitchell R. Duffree, Founder & Chief Twin at Geminaes, explains: “This campaign doesn’t just celebrate queer unity, it shows what happens when the community itself leads storytelling. It’s proof that when you build with care, culture, and lived experience, you create something that moves people. That’s what today’s audiences respond to.”

The film is part of an ongoing multi-platform campaign leading up to WorldPride 2026. Alongside the hero film, short-form edits, behind-the-scenes stories, social assets and cast portraits have been created to engage communities worldwide.

“With WorldPride coming to Amsterdam, we wanted to begin with something emotionally powerful and visually unforgettable. The New Dutch Masters sets the tone, proud, poetic, and deeply human,” added Lucien Spee, Executive Director at WorldPride Amsterdam 2026.

World Pride is the world’s largest LGBTQIA+ event, uniting global communities through visibility, protest, and celebration. In 2026, Pride Amsterdam will host the event, marking 25 years since the Netherlands became the first country to legalise same-sex marriage.

The campaign embodies the spirit of Amsterdam while celebrating individuality and queer joy.

“This is a love letter to queer presence, to visibility, and to what it means to be truly seen,” added Emma Parkinson, Creative Director.
