IKEA’s response to Balenciaga. Their most effective global campaign since 1943.
When Balenciaga’s released a new bag, remarkably similar to IKEA’s Frakta plastic bag, we decided to flirt back and create an instant response. In less than 48 hours we ideated, produced and launched a social media campaign highlighting the qualities of Ikea’s bag and how people could distinguish it as an original.
The campaign went globally viral and so we took it one step further and made the IKEA Frakta film.
The result? The most effective campaign in IKEA’s history and their most sold product globally.
