Kara is a well respected senior media and technology professional who has extensive international experience in media planning and buying processes, systems and activation. She joined UM as Chief Executive Officer in 2023.
Kara has particularly rich experience working in the motoring industry, having grown up in Michigan, USA, a city with longstanding motor culture and history. She started her career at Ford, later entering the media agency world. Prior to joining UM, Kara was Global Chief Data & Technology Officer at Dentsu Media.

Kara’s vision is unlocking the full power and potential of media, data and technology through talent and that are empowered by trust and healthy, people-first organisational cultures. She is a proud equality advocate and stands against prejudice of all kinds, both inside and outside of work.

Kara believes deeply in the power of media to make a difference, whether it’s by driving growth for clients and economies, or by connecting and entertaining audiences, or by shifting culture and accelerating positive change in society.
