The brand characters were first introduced in Heathrow’s 2016 Christmas campaign.
A heartwarming new campaign for Heathrow sees the return of beloved brand characters, the Bears. The campaign from St Luke’s sees Doris and Edward Bair return to screens in ‘Must be Love’.
The Bears were first introduced in Heathrow’s 2016 Christmas campaign. The duo have become Heathrow brand characters in campaigns telling the stories of reunions and travel adventures.
The new campaign sees the Bear’s return on a journey to Heathrow, set to a cover of ‘It Must Be Love’ by British singer, Maius Mollis.
The campaign shows the Bear’s on a journey through Heathrow and begins with the Bear’s making use of Heathrow’s Pod Parking where passengers can make use of driverless electric pods to travel from car park to terminal. The pair make their way through check in with the help of Heathrow staff, while Edward’s clumsiness makes Doris smile.
The pair enjoy a smooth journey through Heathrow making use of the shops and services on the way to the gate, using the app to ensure they are on time. The film is filled with charming moments such as Edward getting his luggage label stuck, forgetting which pocket the tickets are in and the pair enjoying free samples of perfume. The film ends with the line ‘The best trips start here.’
“Doris and Edward are back at Heathrow, reminding us that the best journeys aren’t just about where we go, but who we go with. Edward’s still as playful and charming as ever, and Doris, as always, is the heartbeat that makes those two, one,” says Richard Denney, Joint Chief Creative Officer at St Luke’s.
The campaign will run across VOD and online channels as well as OOH, print, social, in-airport and Heathrow-owned channels. The launch coincides with the key Christmas travel period, with a second burst of activity planned for 2026.
Finding the fun in travel, The Bears bring to life the ease of Heathrow’s services with charm.
