Alcoholic DrinksAhead of Easter, coffee liqueur Kahlúa and Tony’s Chocolonely are treating chocolate and coffee lovers alike by teaming up on a brand new indulgent espresso martini: The Espresso MarTony.
The unlikely brand bedfellows have partnered to treat audiences with a unique Espresso Martini glass made entirely of milk chocolate. The limited-edition glass will be exclusively available at Dirty Martini Bishopsgate over the bank holiday weekend (Friday 18th – Monday 21st April).
Born from research that revealed 1 in 4 Brits feel they don’t treat themselves enough, the tie-up, developed by Wieden + Kennedy London, seeks to provide consumers with the ultimate treat. With findings showing that Friday is the most popular day to indulge, the Espresso MarTony combines tasty chocolate with an irresistible coffee-based cocktail to make up the perfect Friday fix.
Over the bank holiday weekend, the first ten customers to order a Kahlúa Espresso MarTony at Dirty Martini Bishopsgate will receive an Espresso Martini served in a MarTony glass.
Beyond the weekend, the Kahlúa Espresso MarTony cocktail will be available at Dirty Martini venues nationwide for one month. The serve features an indulgent Kahlúa Espresso Martini accompanied by a chunky milk chocolate bar from Tony’s. For anyone unable to get to a Dirty Martini Bar, Kahlúa is sharing the recipe for the Kahlúa Espresso Martini to make at home.
The indulgent cocktail has been launched with a campaign film starring sustainable chef and social media star, Lagom Chef. The spot sees the chef serve up a Kahlúa Espresso MarTony glass to an unsuspecting customer, who debates whether to sip or bite. The film was directed by Jasper Cable-Alexander, produced by Drool and photographed by Philotheus Nisch.
The unique product launch brings to life the benefits of both brands as the Easter bank holiday acts as the perfect backdrop for a weekend indulgence. Combining chocolate and coffee liqueur into an experience, the unlikely partnership makes the perfect treat.
