The bold OOH for travel eSIM brand from Ballsy is part of a multi-step summer campaign
Travel eSIM brand Jetpac is on the hunt for travel virgins as part of a new summer campaign.
The bold out of home campaign was created with the help of Ballsy, a two-person creative consultancy based in Singapore. The campaign kicks off with eye-catching ads placed in high traffic areas in London and LA.
Painted murals and fly posters with cheeky phrases such as ‘Virgins Wanted’ and ‘Time to Pop Your Cherry’ are paired with a QR code that leads curious people to Jetpac’s campaign website.
Phase two of the campaign will see Jetpac pick two people, from the UK and USA to go on the journey of a lifetime and take part in ‘The Travel Virgin Show’.
The show will unfold on social media in unscripted reality show style, featuring real people experiencing new cultures for the first time ever.
The campaign was born from the insight that 23%-25% of adults in the U.S.A. and 13%-15% of U.K. residents have never left their respective countries for a holiday.
“When we saw that, we thought: this is not only a travel insight, but also a pop culture opportunity,” says VJ Anand, Co-Founder of Ballsy. “In a sea of influencers and airbrushed travel reels, we choose to go raw with authentic and honest storytelling via the lens of virgin travellers.”
The campaign aims to make a bold statement about the importance of international travel and position Jetpac as a facilitator of cultural exchange.
Pearlyn Yeo, Head of Marketing for Jetpac, explains: “Everyone remembers their first trip abroad, usually for the stress, and we want to flip that. If we can make people proud of their first trip, they’ll never stop exploring, and that’s Jetpac’s key philosophy to encourage travel freedom.”
As part of the campaign ballsy has collaborated with local and international talents. The eye-catching campaign sees Jetpac make its bold entry into the market with a head-turning creative concept.
