About

An Ulsterman by birth, Tom spent most of his childhood in Africa and the Middle East, he graduated from Rhodes University, South Africa and became a professional actor in Cape Town before leaving in the early ‘80s to make his mark in the UK advertising industry.

For over 20 years Tom worked with some of the world’s leading agencies in the UK and internationally, including account management roles at WCRS and Saatchi & Saatchi, Board Director of The Lowe Group and as Executive Vice President of Grey Worldwide.

Tom realised that choosing the right agency partner can be critical for brands in achieving commercial success. However, finding the most effective agency can prove time consuming, confusing and expensive. A lot of his own working life had been wasted in unproductive new business meetings, spending a lot of money on speculative pitches with clients who lacked clear objectives.

Not satisfied with the modus operandi of how brands found objective information about the agency landscape, Tom set up Creativebrief as the first service of its kind to connect agencies and brands, saving both parties time, cost and confusion.
